Meet Frank Baptiste

Founder of FranklyFitness and Powder Fitness, Frank Baptiste, CSCS is a Vermont-raised Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist “born from ice,” making his first turns at Cochran’s Ski Area before racing in high school under Jim Price.

Formerly NYC-based as a pre & post-hab strength coach, he’s spent nearly two decades helping executives, actors, entrepreneurs, and athletes build resilient bodies. He’s presented Grand Rounds at Hospital for Special Surgery and has been featured in Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, Health, USA Today, and Bicycling.

Today he helps skiers and mountain athletes build strength, mobility, and durability for long seasons—and the adventures of a lifetime.

Why I Built Powder Fitness

Powder Fitness is rooted in a dream that began when I moved to Jackson Hole with a simple mission: ski 100 days. It wasn’t about glory. It was about gravity, flow, freedom—and reconnecting to something deeper.

For me, skiing has always felt like the highest expression of movement. Linking high-speed turns through untracked powder is like leaving your soul’s signature in the snow. There’s no better feeling.

Back in 2009, just a few years into my coaching career, I left NYC and moved west with the idea of building something for mountain athletes. But life pulled me back east—into New York’s film and fitness world, training actors, working with luxury resorts, and leading corporate wellness programs.

A decade later, a client-turned-friend invited me on a ski-touring trip to New Zealand.  More adventures followed—British Columbia, Patagonia, and Alaska's Chugach Mountains—where the scale of the terrain brings everything into focus.

Powder Fitness is my return to the mountains, and my way of helping others prepare for theirs. It’s built for skiers who train with purpose—and who find their freedom on the steep, the deep, and the wild.
